Who Guided the Development of the Compatible Use Study?
Two committees comprising city, county, military, and other stakeholders guided the Study development:
Policy Committee (PC)
The Policy Committee included elected officials from the various communities in the CUS Study Area and leadership from NAS Pensacola. The PC provided key insights into local and regional issues and was critical in helping establish and maintain relationships between key stakeholders, the communities, and the CUS development team.
General Advisory Committee (GAC)
The GAC included representatives from local jurisdictions, agencies, the military, and other stakeholders with expertise in one or more of the 25 Compatibility Factors that were assessed throughout the CUS process. The GAC identified and addressed technical issues, provided feedback on reports, and assisted in developing and evaluating implementation strategies.
